ESTABLISHED 2014
OBEDIENCE
FUTURE

I started out in agility and flyball, borrowing who turned out to be my first curly... An import from Sweden bred by Gerd Cullin and owned by David & Margaret Bett - Edwin (AKA Ed The Duck) Swedish Champion Cornerstones Take A Chance On Me At Kelsmere (Imp Swe).

Edwin was the first dog I handled in the show ring - & not having too bad a start winning Best Of Breed, Members Open Stakes Class then being shortlisted for Best In Show!

To begin with it was Heelwork To Music & Obedience with the curly I was most known for. I have been very lucky and had a couple of exceptionally talented curlies that have really showed a will to please and have tried their hearts out for me. A trait that I hope will continue through the generations to come.

Although not known for their exploits in obedience as a breed if you have the patience and a sense of humour there's not a lot they cant do!

My core belief is that any breed of dog should still be capably of doing what they were originally developed to do. This is what I am striving for, a physically and mentally able dog that enjoys and wants to work. Of sound construction, of good temperament and fit and healthy.

Although the KC only advises test for Hip Scoring. Most of my dogs are hip scored, dna tested for EIC (Exercise Induced Callapse), GSDilla (Glycogen Storage Disease) and Cord1 PRA.

My aim is to produce a dog that is still able to work in the field all day, Of good temperament and well constructed. Although my dogs are only very lightly shown they are most importantly much loved family pets, they are worked in agility, obedience, flyball and even some in heelwork to music!!

I am starting to do more with them in gundog training and my aim is to further continue with this and Fern, who started her training just last year a couple of months before the CCRC fun working test seems to be full of natural ability and instinct as well as having the obedience as well - I am really looking forward to further pursing this with her. Samba is very very keen and full of prey drive we just need a little more in the control aspect. Which I'm sure will come with time. I would rather have a dog that is happy and wants to work who enjoys what they do rather then a dog that does it because he has to.
